Reviews (36-40)
5 out of 5: Simply the Best
Reviewer: Andrew Desmond (Neutral Bay, NSW Australia)
In order to keep abreast of current affairs throughout the world, one can do no better than read The Economist. Quite simply, this magazine has no competitors that come close in terms of coverage or quality.
Although I have been a subscriber for some 20 years, I never cease to be excited about opening a new week's edition. The Economist provides an insightful and analytical view of the news and never fails to provoke one's mind.
Read it!
5 out of 5: Insightful, in-depth, and analytical
Reviewer: Farid Ahmad (Pakistan)
If you want to stay informed about what is happening in the world, you have to read the economist magazine every week - which is no easy task because it manages to pack an enormous amount of good reading between its covers every 7 days.
Unlike several other magazines, the Economist has a truly global coverage - not just an American or a European perspective. Asia, Africa, Europe, USA, South America - in politics, economics, science, arts - if its happening, the Economist will probably have something to say about it.
You might not always agree with it, but you have to admire its analytical depth and perspective.
5 out of 5: Witty
Reviewer: UDAY HIREMATH (New York,NY,USA)
By this time, you probably are aware that the economist magazine is more than just about economics. I read a sample issue, subscribed and I am hooked to it ever since.
Witty, incisive and many a times, politically incorrect but factual summaries on the main issues plaguing the world.
The fact that it is British is reflected in the many stories and ads concerning Britain and Europe. But the wit is well worth it and anyway far more tolerable than the garbage that goes in other magazines. Recommended reading for Americans who are bombarded with needless stories on TV and other media.
5 out of 5: Wonderful Magazine but save yourself some money.
Reviewer: "dequils" (Sherman Oaks, CA United States)
I have been reading the Economist for approximately 1 year and I must say that it is an incredible magazine, perhaps the best Magazine for International Affairs, Economics, and Politics. The commentaries are insightful, objective, and forward.
... Good luck and enjoy.
5 out of 5: Fantastic!
Reviewer: JAIME GONZALEZ "j_aguado" (Kenosha, WI United States)
I've been reading The Economist for the last 10 years or so, and during that time the magazine has earned my utmost respect in every sense. I just wish I had heeded their advice concerning the stock market bubble back in the late 90s. |
